The Vacancy
Administrative Officer (Property Services)
Based at Endurance House, Histon (hybrid working available with a minimum one day per week working in the office)
Full-time 35 hpw
Salary: £28,242.43
This is an exciting newly created role, providing comprehensive administrative support to the Compliance Manager and Technical Services Team by assisting with the coordination, planning and delivery of CHS’s compliance programmes across the property portfolio.
What you’ll do
Play a key role in preparing and issuing letters, reports, and other important documents, ensuring they are accurate, well‑presented and delivered on time
Support the Compliance Manager in the management and use of the asset and housing management databases and other systems by ensuring that certification is received timely and updated accordingly.
Actively track certification expiry dates and assist in maintaining records for statutory compliance of gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos management water hygiene and lifting equipment.
Liaise with contractors regarding appointments, access, and the monitoring of job completions, including scheduling appointments with tenants and contractors.
Monitor the provision of information from contractors to ensure this meets the agreed standards, and to highlight areas of concern to the Compliance Manager.
To investigate invoice queries and make recommendations for payment and ensure appropriate payments are made to service providers and suppliers within approved financial limits and within approved budgets. To ensure applications for payment are within the agreed terms of the contracts.
Be actively involved in meetings and accurately record decisions made.
About you
Demonstrable experience of previous administrative work in a busy office or customer facing environment, working in partnership with external contractors and internal teams to support your team to deliver service.
A friendly, committed, flexible team player, with excellent customer focus, ability to build strong working relationships, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sound knowledge of all Windows based packages (Word and Excel) and basic accounting systems.
Knowledge of housing compliance, asset management, procurement processes, budget management and monitoring.
Full UK drivers’ licence, business car insurance, use of a car and willingness to attend training,
