Property Services Surveyor

 

Location: Endurance House, Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9ZR

 

Salary:  £46,479.87 p.a FTE

 

Permanent full-time position – 35 hours per week

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join CHS as a Property Services Surveyor

 

What you’ll do:

 

Assist in the provision of the repairs and maintenance service for CHS and its customers, through the effective day-to-day the management of CHS’ servicing, repairs and maintenance contractors.

 

Ensure an effective and prompt customer-focused repairs service, for the benefit of CHS customers. You’ll take accountability for customer outcomes, making sure these services provide value for money.

 

Remain compliant with health and safety requirements for responsive repairs and servicing requirements. E.g. CDM, method statements, risk assessments and compliance certification.

 

Complete inspections and surveys on behalf of CHS for defect diagnosis and assurance relating to quality / performance, health and safety compliance and asset condition.

 

Contribute to the contract procurement processes, providing technical input to design specifications.

 

About you:

 

  • Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of building construction and maintenance.

 

  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, contractors and CHS colleagues.

 

  • Have excellent contract administration skills.

 

  • Be customer focused; seeking to understand the needs of internal and external customers, aiming to exceed these consistently.

 

  • Be able to work effectively with others and ensure team objectives are met.

 

  • Be flexible and adaptable, adopting a practical approach to achieve the required results.
