Location:  Endurance House, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9ZR (Hybrid Working, minimum one day per week working from home)

Salary:

Permanent/Full Time – 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join CHS as a Contracts Manager (Repairs, Voids and Ground Maintenance, within our Property Services Team.

 

What you’ll do

To lead, plan, and manage all repair and maintenance activities across the housing stock, ensuring that homes are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. The postholder will oversee both reactive and planned maintenance programs, manage contractor performance, and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to residents.

 

About you

Knowledge/understanding of managing partnering contracts i.e. TPC/TAC/JCT terms & conditions, together with ensuring close financial control of payments inc. profit & overheads.

Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, inc. OJEU procedures and s20 requirements for leaseholders.

Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to repairs and maintenance services

Ability to monitor own performance and deliver against agreed objectives, financial targets and within budget constraints.

Ability to manage external contractors and provide effective direction and coaching.

Demonstrable experience of successfully leading and managing a team who deliver against objectives.


Knowledge of Windows-based IT packages or similar database software.
